A
Squirrel is faced with many challenges when it is old enough
to venture off from the nest and build a life of its own. Its lifestyle
is solely dependent on hits habitat and surroundings. In a city area
the common grey squirrel has been spotted at bird feeders, however
we have noticed that they tend not to live in short proximity to their
food source. We suspect this is true because of the possibility of
an attack by another animal in competition for food such as a cat
or human
The
average grey squirrel living in a rural area would tend to live atop
a tree by building a spherical nest where it is protected from enemies.
Other times squirrels find that stone walls are a safer place to raise
their family. They hide between the rocks in tiny crevices where it
is nearly impossible for any animal to get to them. This behavior
is thought to be one of logic which squirrels use to survive the forces
of nature. With the correct squirrel enhancing technology being developed
in today's workforce squirrels could someday have the potential to
carry out difficult military tasks, perform dangerous surgery and
maybe someday be the first living creature to venture to mars in a
beta program NASA is currently developing called SquirrLab.
